Micro-fiber is like a magnet to dirt, dust, grime and liquids: as it moves across a surface the gaps between the microfilaments "scoop up", or hook dirt particles, capturing them between the splits of the micro-fiber. Instead of the particles sticking outside the fiber (typical with most cleaning cloths), these particles are pulled inside the micro-fibers. Micro-Fiber products make the job easier.

Besides its superior cleaning ability, micro-fiber is also non-abrasive. With micro-fiber, the dirt particles get trapped inside the fiber -- its soft material is the only thing wiping the surface. Conventional cleaning materials hold dirt particles you are wiping on the outside, to be repeatedly wiped over the surface again and again - causing scratches and possible damage to delicate finishes.
In addition to all these qualities, micro-fiber is easy to care for and outlasts other materials. Either rinse in the sink with water, or wash with a mild detergent in the washing machine, and your micro-fiber will be back to new.
