Micro-fiber is a synthetic fiber made of a blend of polyester and micro-fiber polymer bundled together in a microscopic strand. The strand is then split into fibers and woven together to form products such as mops and towels.

Able to absorb seven times its weight in water, micro-fiber towels are perfect for mopping up spills quickly.

Unlike cotton, Micro-Fiber captures up to 99 percent of bacteria on most non-porous surfaces, and is considered superior.

Micro-fiber cloths come in a variety of colors, sizes, weaves and thickness.

As a general rule, higher-grade towels are thicker, can be used longer, and can be washed more times than the more basic micro-fiber cloths.

Because of its advanced technology, micro-fiber is effective even without the use of chemicals. It grabs and traps dust, grime, oil and grease, and scrubs away residue without damaging surfaces (a risk with conventional cotton terry cloth towels.)

Micro-fiber is gaining momentum in the industry because it is light and reduces the need for paper and chemicals.

A study released by the Environmental Protection Agency concluded that quality micro-fiber, such as that used in our towels, is less work intensive, more cost effective, environmentally friendly, and reduces chemical use and disposal. It helps to clean far more effectively than conventional cleaners!
